Tailored To Your Pet
We start with an introductory consultation visit, which allows us to get to know you and your pet. We will review your pet’s previous medical history, perform a thorough evaluation of their current health, and have a conversation about what we can do to improve their quality of life through better oral health. At that visit we will provide you with an itemized estimate for the treatments proposed, and if deemed necessary, perform any tests or provide any referrals that will benefit your pet. We can then schedule an appointment as well.
When you walk through the doors of North Bay Veterinary Dentistry, you’ll be walking into a space where our coworkers are our second families, and our clients are guests. You can expect us to treat your pets like our own.
On the planned procedure day, we will schedule a drop-off time and expected pick-up time that will prioritize a safe recovery period while minimizing the time your pet spends away from you. While your pet is with us, you are welcome to stay in our lobby. If you do not stay on site, we will send you updates to let you know our progress, our findings and recommendations, and the time we expect your pet to be ready to walk out the door to go home (with a purr or a tail wag as the case may be). At discharge, we will review all of the imaging and the procedures that were performed. We will give you instructions for how to care for your pet (what food to feed and when, exercise or chewing restrictions, etc.), as well as for any prescribed medications.

Recheck Visit
At recheck visits, we will thoroughly examine your pet to assess healing and to discuss follow-up care. This visit also includes brushing demonstrations, recommendations for different dental chews and toys, and discussion about the need for any future treatment or visits. Every pet is different, and our recommendations are always tailored to each pet’s individual mouth and health.
